Assisted Living Manager

Department: Assisted Living
Location: Seattle, WA

About the Role

We’re seeking an inspiring and value-driven Assisted Living Manager to help shape the future of resident care for our Horizon House Assisted Living and Memory Care units.

Step into a highly visible leadership role where your work directly elevates the resident experience, strengthens team culture, and enhances day-to-day operations. You’ll join a mission-focused organization that prioritizes service excellence, collaboration, and person-centered care—while giving leaders the autonomy and support needed to make a meaningful, lasting impact.

If you’re energized by developing people, optimizing operational systems, and creating an environment where both residents and staff thrive, this role offers the perfect blend of purpose, challenge, and professional growth.

Starting Pay: $83,449.60 - $93,142.40 annually

What You’ll Get

  • Make a visible impact. Lead change at a single-site community of 250 employees where your decisions directly improve resident and team experiences.
  • Influence healthcare operations — no nursing license required. Shape systems, workforce performance, and service delivery in a healthcare setting through strong operational leadership.
  • Drive meaningful change. Evaluate operations, strengthen processes, and implement improvements that truly make a difference.
  • Collaborate across departments. Partner with cross-functional teams to create aligned, resident-centered solutions and positive experiences.
  • Lead with purpose. Support aging adults —one of the fastest-growing populations — in a community focused on dignity, compassion, and service excellence.
  • Grow as a leader. Join a culture that values professional development and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing care team, including Certified Nursing Assistants and the Staffing Coordinator, building a culture of accountability, professionalism, and service excellence.
  • Partner closely with the Nurse Manager (RN) to align operational leadership with clinical standards, safe care delivery, and workforce performance.
  • Strengthen frontline leadership capacity in partnership with the Nurse Manager (RN) by mentoring nurses in supervision, communication, and team accountability.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure safe, reliable, and consistent service delivery in both Assisted Living and Memory Care.
  • Design and manage flexible staffing models that respond to census and acuity while optimizing labor utilization in alignment with budget goals.
  • Monitor workforce trends and operational metrics (turnover, attendance, overtime, performance data) and implement proactive system-level improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with Washington State Assisted Living regulations, integrating standards into daily operations and team expectations.
  • Analyze resident satisfaction data to implement targeted improvements that enhance care and overall resident experience.
  • Oversee new resident onboarding, ensuring a warm, consistent, and well-supported transition experience.
  • Track, trend, and resolve non-clinical service concerns and grievances with professionalism and urgency.
  • Contribute to policy development, operational improvements, and interdisciplinary committees that enhance resident well-being and organizational performance.
  • Participate in the manager-on-call rotation to ensure leadership continuity and operational support.
