Housekeeper - Full Time

Department: Environmental Services
Location: Seattle, WA

Pay Range: $20.68 - $23.58 / hour (based on union scale)
Available Schedule(s):

Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm

What You’ll Do:

Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy, including but not limited to the following:

  • Perform cleaning in residential apartments and community areas in accordance with department policies and procedures. Dispose of waste products in accordance with facility policies.
  • Assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment and supplies.
  • Restock supplies in the community areas in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Clean, fold, and/or iron residents’ clothes and linens as requested.

Secondary Job Duties:

  • Clean assigned storage areas. (Women's locker room and shower, housekeeping guest room and drape storage, Assisted Living linen storage.)
  • Restock Assisted Living linen in the linen storage room.
  • Report equipment repair needs to the Environmental Services Manager or his/her designee.
  • Report to supervisor areas of the building in need of repair or cleaning.
  • Help with duties in Assisted Living if assigned.
  • Other housekeeping duties as assigned by Environmental Services Manager or his/her designee.

What We’re Looking For:

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certificates

  • Education: High school graduation or GED, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year of housekeeping experience in a related field
  • Communications: Must be fluent in English language. Be able to follow directions, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to interact appropriately with seniors.

Knowledge/Leadership/Collaboration

  • Knowledge: Vacuum, cleaning products, broom, mop, cart, elevators.
  • Collaboration: Achieve goals through teamwork and alliances in the broader community
